Peter Griffiths has been The National Trust's Regional Director for the East of England for the last eight years, during which time visitor numbers to the Trust’s properties in the region have increased significantly, and commercial activities such as catering, retail and holiday cottages have grown and developed. Peter is on the Historic Environment Forum and was a Community Stakeholder member of the East of England Regional Assembly until it was disbanded in March 2010.
A chartered surveyor by training, Peter has held a number of posts within The National Trust - a policy role at Head Office, as Director for the Trust's Kent and East Sussex region and as Director of the Southern region, covering south west London, Surrey, West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Peter lives in Norfolk where he is a parish councillor. |
